Mr. David S. Liu has over 20 years of experience in investments, fundraising, mergers & acquisitions, as well as in business expansion. Prior to joining BHV, Mr. Liu was a VP of Benchmark Capital in New York, a partner of Tangent Capital and general manager of Beijing office, and a partner of Innovant Fund management in Beijing and Hong Kong.
Mr. Liu is very familiar with capital markets in China and the US, and has in-depth research and hands-on experience in investment, financing, and cross- border mergers and acquisitions. He successfully completed four IPO transactions on NASDAQ and the NYSE for Chinese companies, and has participated in more than 20 cross-border mergers and acquisitions transactions, with a cumulative transaction value of more than three billion US dollars.
In recent years, Mr. Liu‘s focus has been in US-China business expansion transactions in the high-tech industry. He is one of the core team members that led the establishment and international cooperation of Huilongsen International High-tech Incubation Park in Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone, facilitating a group of high-tech enterprises and incubation parks to cooperate with their counterparts in the US and Canada. In addition, through Mr. Liu’s efforts, a number of high-tech startups from North America have established good working relationships with Chinese organizations such as the China Investment Association and China Overseas Investment Association, which belong to National Development and Reform Commission, and China High-tech Industry Development Research Institute under the Ministry of Science and Technology.
Mr. Liu holds an MBA degree from Schulich School of Business of York University in Canada and he also completed Canadian Securities Institute certificate training.
